As a child I’d blissfully tiptoe through a sleeping house, pencil in hand, and quietly draw for hours. Next mother emerged, the household of nine were assigned chores and the bliss shifted to an industrious thrum. Late afternoons, mother gently pushed us out the door. As she hailed us away to the great outdoors she’d call “do something constructive!”.

Years later, it dawned on me that I had literally done what I was told!  Committed to the construction, architecture, design and home building industry, today  those words hit home and are an inspiration.
